StrongED mailing list
This is a mailing list to discuss the RISC OS text and programmer's editor, StrongED.
Note that this program will run under RISC OS only.
Postings to the list must broadly follow usenet (Internet News Group) 'Netiquette' - plain text only, no attachments and no top-posting or excessive quoting of previous emails.

To join the list you need to follow a few simple steps (which are very effective at keeping spammers off the list!):
To subscribe
send an email to StrongED+Subscribe@Torrens.org.
The email ideally should be empty: subject and body contents are ignored (so there's no point in explaining why you want to join the list!).
Please confirm.
You will get back a "Please confirm your request" email
Confirmation.
You reply to this email. The address to which this will request you reply is something such as
StrongED+confsub-124fe5534995602d-youremail=yourdomain.com@Torrens.org
where
- 124fe5534995602d is a random number generated by the list handler on the server.
- youremail=yourdomain.com is your own email address, but with the @ sign replaced by =.
It is very important that you check that your email program responds to the correct address here: some programs break the reply address at the +, - or = sign. This will not work!
Final confirmation.
If all goes well, you will receive back an email saying "Welcome to StrongED at Torrens.org."
You are now free to post to the list.
