Given a choice: the one without the ads!

I tend to use Google on non-risc os stuff because its Custom Search gives
pretty results; it seems to pick up images which are defined for social
media use. It's driven by Javascript so invisible to NetSurf unless you
add a <noscript> section along the lines as previously discussed.

I find that the impulse to search can occur at any time so am a great
believer in providing the opportunity on every page rather than having a
link to a search page (perhaps call that 'advanced'?!). The search made
can then be appropriate to its context and ideal for an 'include' or
similar which saves making loads of edits (like when Altavista
disappeared!).

In a mainstream browser the visitor can just type into the address bar to
search so I believe we should make our own search buttons as easily
accessible as that really. I try to include one (usually) near the foot
of every page.
