Haven't tried Swipe yet, but I wonder:  will it be able to grab a region 
of text out of what !PDFtest displays on screen?

(The save-page-as-text offered by !PDFtest is a pain, especially when it's 
a two-column page and the routine insists on reading across the whole 
width of the page.)
