Good grief... I know very little about SE as I don't use it myself, I just
struggle to keep Fay's SE going for her as she seems to like it.

I understand what you are saying, but...

What about specific setting that someone has laboured to get just right,
Colours, window sizes, yadayada...

What happens to all those things when you throw away one version and
completely replace it with a newer one?

What modes? I don't even know where they are, so on her behalf how would I
know if a mode is present or not after the throwaway?

I don't even know if/what modes are there with the current version.

This has not been a good week for me application wise. (Thread on
archive-online) "The Windows App world has gone mad."
