Hi Fred,
That indeed was the problem.
All four items in that "...Formats" directory were themselves directories,
each containing a Basic file "FormatLib" and Text file "StyleSheet".

I removed the directories and replaced with the (text) files from the
4.70a12 downloaded archive, thereafter the DDL saved okay.

Excellent, thanks.

Dave

Now to the next and related problem. :-(

Due to eye troubles the SE writable area has to be dark with White text,
that in itself is no problem, all set up/configured a while back.

The new problem arises with the Export, beit DDL, DDF or HTML the
resulting document has a dark background and white text also.

Sticking with ExportDDL which is probably the only one She would use.

Does this mean before export something has to be done (I know not what) to
reverse the colours?

Alternatively, I know how to change text colour in OvPro but how do I
change the background (black background) to white?

Thanks
Dave
