[StrongED] html and charsets
I spent a merry morning trying to vaklidate an html page.
There were many characters which weren't ISO-8859-1 but which StrongED
displayed fine.
The reason for this was because I had imported quotations from various
sources (pdf mainly) which containbed smaart quotes, odd hyphens etc.
So is there any way we can get StrongED to pick out such characters? I
guess this would need some extra tool in the HTML mode?
OT - and for interest only - I gave up the validation because the w3c
validator complains about the & in links such as
<a href="https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=H6F4_9joRkgC&=bile">Page
87</a>
If you replace the & in the link by & the link does not work!
