That might be because RO apps frequently set system variables
when they're first run.  Often, if they're run again the vars
don't get reset.  So you might, say, be running the 4.70a12
executable against the resource files of the older program.

If you're in the habit of booting the older SE when you start RO,
try booting the new version instead.

If you don't do that, but just run SE when you first need it, make
sure it's the new version that's run first.
