Hmm. I can confirm that here.

In the absence of any instructions, I followed what I thought was the
normal recommended SE way...

I moved the old !StrongEd to another directory, then copied in the new
a12 !StrongEd.

However, when I started it I realised it was missing all my installed
modes, so I renamed !StrongEd.Defaults.Modes to ModesX, then copied in
the Modes directory from the old version, then copied all the ModesX
contents over the Modes directory.

This looked ok ... but when I started that I realised the ModeLock file
has reverted to a basic one, so I replaced ModeLock in !StrEd_Cfg with my
old one.

That seemed to work ... but then I saw the permanent 'le' in the InfoBar.

I see Peter has also asked how best to upgrade. The second method you
proposed to him looked very similar to what I did!. But I have just
restored my old version and done a straight copy-new-over-the-old-version
as all my changes are in Cfg AFAIK, and that seems to have worked.

Perhaps how to upgrade could be in a future !ReadMe file, even for alpha
& beta releases?

Thanks
Martin
