Thanks, Fred, and I thought is might not be so simple :-(

However, I did a wee experiment. I quit StrongED, copied my working 
copy into Transient's today directory, and copied the 4.70a12 over it, 
with "Newer" selected and Force not selected. I ran this, and at least 
as BaseMode was concerned it had all my new bits.

It looks as if all the files that Fred mentions are from April, 2017, 
so maybe the "cheat" has worked! I'll store away my previous version 
in a zip, and copy the updated version as my new version, and will 
report back if it's evident that all isn't as it should be.

I welcome simple answers to problems :-)
