Sorry for the delayed reply, but I've been very busy. It happens
totally at random, and always when I try to edit the StrongMenu file.
Most often I can successfully edit this, but there seems to be no
rhyme or reason why it happens. Possibly relevant: I always have
Ovation Pro on the icon bar, but EmailEdit only comes up when I'm
writing an e-mail. OPro is the one that most often locks the machine
up.

That's interesting, but presumably there's not a lot I can do about
that.
