There a bug in 4.70a6 that affects TaskWindows (private bug report) and
the problem is fixed. Not sure if it's the same as yours but I suspect
so.

The ModeFiles are for 4.69 which doesn't know about the new font format
used in 4.70. When a stable 4.70 is released the modes database will be
updated, 4.69 will then come with the current modes included to ensure
it has compatible moders.

Remember 4.70a6 is a test version so may have warts or require you to
make some manual adjustments, as is the case here.
