Thanks, but I can't find that option here, assuming that you're 
talking about the StrongED choices.

All that there is in my version is:

Don't load interactive help
Don't load file of already loaded (ticked)
Beep on error
Write $.StrongDump on serious/fatal error (ticked)
Kill taskwindows without asking (ticked)
Only print through Print Manager (ticked)
Replace space with hard spaces in file names
Pass on unknown key presses (ticked)
Colours section in mode choices follows cursor
Select click in LoW selects and opens a text (I've just ticked that 
one as well)

I've looked in the base mode ModeFile, and can't find anything 
relevant to this. Have I done something wrong somewhere?

It's not a major problem for me, but simply a matter of remembering to 
do as save to today's Transient directory, and not to the icon bar.
