Me too. I suspect that the occurrence of "!SearchDir" in the BaseMode
file needs changing to "!DigDirSED". Better let Fred rule on this.

I think you need a version of RiscLua >= 5.00. Why not download version
5.50 from http://www.wra1th.plus.com/lua/zip/rlua550.zip ?
That will be a quite separate matter from !SearchDir not found.

Thanks for the credits. It pleases me to see RiscLua being used. Searching
is often a very necessary task, and there have been many applications,
some bundled, some very specialised, to do it. With all of them, it
seems to me, the biggest hurdle is providing an interface for the user
that conceals the complexities of pattern syntax without requiring the
user to go through choosing masses of options. It is not only that the
user may have little patience for the syntax and be ignorant of the
possibilities, but also that they may have difficulty in being precise
about what it is that they are searching for. In the mid 80s Columbia
University librarians found that a significant part of their job was helping
people to use the library's software for searching - something rather
new at the time.
