\x20 represents a space, not a hard space.

Using RO 6.20 on a SARPC:

   "\x20" (space) > "\xa0" (hard space)

   "\xa0" (hard space) > "\x20" (space)

both work in BaseMode, News, StrongHTML and in any other mode that I've
tried.
