What conflict?  Your original file was probably classed, in the absence of
any reason not to, as something to be edited in BaseMode.  The moved file
was classed as something to be edited in Documents mode.

Removing the mode means that nothing that's meant to be edited in Documents
mode will be treated the way it is meant to be.

You might be better to modify the ModeWhen part of the Documents mode
definition so that it doesn't see /your/ Documents folder as an indicator
that it should use Documents mode.
